The software Dupiro has been developed by Jérôme Dubois (HydroCosmos) and Professor Michel Pirotton (University of Liège). It is destinated for the simulation of sediment transport and the short term or long term evolution of the channel bed. The equations are non-stationnary and fully coupled (hydraulics and sediment transport). It takes into account transport capacity and transported volumes and makes the balance by erosion or deposition. The numerical model solves the momentum equation and takes into account the transition between subcritical and supercritical flow.
