HydroCosmos has developed the software Dunamic 2D, solving the complete St-Venant equation by the method of finite volumes. The most recent developments in numerical hydraulic are integrated in the tool. Interfaces fluxes are computed with the algorithm HLL (Harten, Laax,, van Leer) adapted by Toro.

Source terms are handled in order to allow simulations on real topography. The model simulates subcritical and supercritical two dimensional flows as well as mixed flows. Hydraulic jumps are automatically detected and a simulation of wave propagation on dry ground is also possible.

The interface DuMap allows to manage input data, models and results graphically and all data and results are GIS based.
